Aggregates, concrete, asphalt, road and industrial paving

Active for almost 30 years in the construction industry, Scavi Pesenti Srl manages a quarry area in Covo, which covers about 500 thousand square meters. Construction aggregates are mined in the area, and used to produce concrete in the two modern plants at Covo and Vailate (CR) and to produce asphalt in the technologically advanced plant at Covo.

The entire quarry chain
The company also has a plant authorized to receive and process materials from demolitions and similar, to reuse the material in the construction industry.
Scavi Pesenti, thus, in its production site carries out all the steps of the entire quarry chain, placing itself as a reference player at a provincial level.
It is a family business from a management point of view, but it has a modern and efficient structure, and is organized with quality in mind. The company has achieved most important certifications: since 2003 it is among the few companies to have the UNI EN ISO 9001 certification, in 2006 it obtained CE marking for its aggregates, in 2007 FPC certification for concrete and in 2008 CE marking for asphalt.
The company is part of a highly structured group that does business across the board in the construction industry, and always stands out for its special environmental sensitivity. Clear evidence of that is the environmental recovery it has already implemented in a part of the quarry area. The recovered banks of the artificial lake, in which the aggregates mining is carried out with two large floating dredgers, have gentle, planted slopes, with a bushy and well-groomed medium and tall vegetation, in which many wildlife species have found their natural habitat.
