The ROTA Cav. PIERINO company of ROTA ALDO & C. s.n.c entered the market of granulates and pebbles on of May 1st, 1954 as the sole ROTA PIERINOproprietorship, and in 1985 changed to the company structure it has now.

In 1981, Mr. Rota Pierino received the special title of Cavaliere della Repubblica (Knight of the Republic) from the President of the Italian Republic, A. Pertini.
The company also received other awards in the following years: the GOLDEN PALM, the Oscar for business and, in 1993, the diploma and gold medal for industrial merit.
The material processing yard is in Zandobbio, in via Selva 35, close to the company’s DOLOMITE quarry. Dolomite is a sedimentary rock typical of the sedimentary rocks of the Southern Alps.

Its chemical formula is CaMg(CO3)2, calcium magnesium dicarbonate. This stone is called BIANCO ZANDOBBIO, and has a distinctive white color with grey-pink veins.
